Animal Therapy for Children

We are celebrating our one year anniversary by raising funds for Ramat HaNegev's Search and Rescue

Ramat HaNegev's Search and Rescue team has partnered with Boulder's Search and Rescue teams in the past. Both search and rescue teams are composed of wonderful volunteers who give up their personal time to help people in extreme need. The teams perform important life-saving work, and their work has a significant, positive impact on the communities they serve. The Search and Rescue team in Ramat HaNegev needs both equipment and a new facility to service the growing number of people who visit the region. In turn, the Sister City Initiative will be celebrating its one-year anniversary with a fundraiser aimed at assisting the team in Ramat HaNegev with these endeavors.

We are raising $5,000 to aid in the renovation and operation of the animal corner in Kibbutz Tlalim. This space is crucial for providing emotional care to evacuees, especially children.

Your contribution to this cause would make a significant impact.

Since October 7th, so many of us in Boulder have been greatly worried about our sister city, Ramat HaNegev, and wondering if there is anything we can do to help. After reaching out to Hadass Nissan, who works for the Ramat HaNegev Regional Council, we learned that there is a project that could use Boulder’s special assistance. Kibbutz Tlalim needs funds to aid in the renovation and operation of their “animal corner,” an animal therapy program that is essential for providing emotional care to evacuees, especially children.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 (USD) that will go directly to this project. All donations are tax-deductible, and can be made on our web page via this LINK

In what have been dark days for so many of us, perhaps the lights of Hannukah will allow us all to bring hope again to some of the children of Israel. Please consider making gifts in honor of your own children, the children in the communities adjacent to Gaza who have been traumatized by the war, or any of the families and children being held captive in Gaza who we hope will be released very soon.

All money we receive will go directly toward this effort!
